Estela - Digital Assistant for Health Appointments

Estela was born from a personal insight: growing up in a family of healthcare professionals, I often heard frustrations about how inefficient appointment management could be. Secretaries had to make multiple phone calls to confirm bookings, and no-shows remained common despite their efforts.

To better understand the problem, I interviewed several medical professionals and their administrative staff. Based on those insights, I partnered with a developer and a business strategist to co-found Estela.

We designed a customizable scheduling tool that helps healthcare providers reduce no-shows and streamline their workflow. Estela automatically notifies patients as their appointment approaches, sends reminders, and allows for easy rescheduling—no phone calls needed. The result was a more efficient day-to-day for professionals and a more convenient experience for patients.
